There are a multitude of great clubs in London but many of the best from the higher end of the market are based in Mayfair and Soho. Of course Chelsea and Kensington are not without their gems but in terms of great clubs per square mile perhaps Mayfair is the leader of the pack.
We will regularly bring you review, news and clues about the best clubs in Mayfair via our website so expect plenty more.
Today we are looking at one of our favourite clubs, the legendary funkybuddha.
Personally speaking I love funkybuddha, it never fails to disappoint. The staff are friendly and welcoming if you treat them with respect and the club beautifully decorated especially since the recent refurb. It’s basement location gives the impression that you are descending in to a hidden playground as you enter.
I have enjoyed so many great nights at funkybuddha; some where the club was heaving with people and some where it has been less busy. If you are with a group of people that know how to party and you can scrape together eight hundred pounds between ten of you you are in for a blast in either case.
The house DJs are usually outstanding playing a perfect mix of RnB, commercial hip-hop and everyone’s favourite West End music genre, funky house.
The crowd varies from night to night with Tuesday being a more hip-hop night, Thursday more corporate and the weekends more commercial.
The club enjoys an amazing location on Berkeley Street opposite the May Fair Bar and next door (near enough) to Internationally famous Nobu.
funkybuddha originally started as a club night many years ago at karaoke bar, Zen Garden. It has come a long way since those early days becoming one of the celebrities’ favourites as any of the tabloids will testify. If current form is anything to go by those days will continue for years to come.
